Based in Canary Wharf for a number of years we had been following construction of this residential scheme for some time. We were approached by the owners and instructed to perform an off market operator search focusing on substantial and mature corporate accommodation providers. This remains one of the largest leases of its type in the area.

Our client had acquired and refurbished these assets to a high standard, converting from hotel to aparthotel. We were instructed to find a suitable operator off market. Leveraging the post pandemic bounce back of ADR's in the sector, we were able to secure a record rental level from one of Europe's leading new wave aparthotel operators.

Sourcing an operator for this high end new block of only 9 two bedroom apartments was a challenge. The average unit size was over 1500sqft with some of the units over 2000sqft. Working with our client's contractor we subdivided a number of the units to create extra bedrooms which supported the required rent. We leased the building to a well-funded American luxury short stay operator.
